This could potentially be.....

the best Spidey film since Spider-Man 2 (2004)

After I watched Civil War I was really impressed with his portrayal. I'm really looking forward to his solo Spidey film. Spider-Man: Homecoming has potential to be the best Spidey film since Spider-Man 2 (2004) What do you guys think?

On what basis? Spider-Man 2 was the best received and most critically acclaimed of the trilogy. Much like X-Men 2 was and they were a year apart. The quality is almost unbeatable. Better story, superb special effects. Did exceptionally well at the box office at $783.8 million (http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=spiderman2.htm) globally back when movies of that caliber actually delivered in story. Overall the most entertaining. Not just an opinion, most of the general public loved and respected the movie to this day. Raimi knows how well it did and should have ended it there. The ending was a great send off to the next director to take the reigns to grow the character. It won film awards: AFI, Empire, Satellite, Saturn, Visual Effects, World Stunts and the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

This movie has no potential. Not much has been revealed and the news that has been, isn't that positive or exciting.

How the hell do you know? Have you seen it? May I borrow your time machine?

That's not really saying much, though.

It only slightly appears so. Have faith, my friend😉

"The first true Spider-Man film"

Somebody missed Spider-Man 1 & 2. This may be a great Spider-Man film, but let's not act like great films haven't happened before starring the web-head. To dismiss the first two Spidey films is pretty arrogant, those films ARE great Spider-Man movies and deserve your praise. Even Feige holds SM2 as the pinnacle of Spidey films.

I'm pissed he's a kid again but perhaps it'll avoid the same boring beats as the second series did.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
