QUESTION - Are you Happy that Michael Keaton is Playing the Villain ?

This is just a Simple YES or NO Question below!
-----------------------
Are you yourself Happy that Michael Keaton is Playing the Main Villain in this Movie.....YES or NO ?

For me, my own answer is Yes. What about everyone else ?

reply

NO, the man deserves a better part.

reply

If they give him the right treatment of an awesome interesting villain instead of a normal marvel villain side roll, with very little development. Keaton is great actor, so I wouldn't give any doubt to his performance unless the writing wasn't good for him to work with.

reply

based on what we saw in the trailer if the rest of the movie is like that.. i would say we might have a decent villain in the movie.

reply

No. To some fans he's forever Batman and that's like trashing his dc image down the drain. Sort of a 'fxck you' to his batman fans. This vulture seems an homage to his Birdman film, intentional or not.

I'm happy that Michael Keaton is in anything, his career really came to a standstill after he left the Batman franchise. He had a couple of winners with Multiplicity and White Noise (as in, they were good films) but then he kind of dropped off the face of the planet.

You need to go check his imdb page. His career didn't come to a stand still after Batman. lol

Generally, Michael Keaton is on the same level as cowbell.

But this thing has, "Marvel's 1st blockbuster bomb", written all over it.

I have a feeling it will be like watching Claire Danes in T3, where the whole time you're just wondering what she did wrong to deserve such a fate. Hopefully it does't hurt him getting roles. It's nice to see him back in the game.

To be with another woman, that is French. To get caught, that is American.

So... exactly the same thing trolls have been saying about all MCU movies starting with Guardians of the Galaxy?

Quidquid Latinae dictum sit, altum viditur.

So does every other Marvel film. Until it comes out, that is.

reply

Your reply works, until they finally have one.

They've never released a movie so blind to all the negatives about doing so.

And know this, I'm a Marvel fan. I wouldn't have read DC as a kid if they were free.

- Spiderman fatigue, casual viewers don't care about a return to Marvel. On top of super hero fatigue, as all the companies making these films are getting lazier and lazier about the writing, when they should be getting more and more creative to keep people interested.

- you know this thing is a rush job. When has that ever worked out?

- Sony has creative input, and I'd bet my last dollar the original script is theirs. And they make the worst films on earth.

- original content changes (because the comic fans love that)

- it is not only an origin film, regardless if they skip the death of Ben, but it is an origin film with a love story. The 2 things that guarantee their movies don't hit a billion. The nice thing about using the most popular Marvel character is when the dust clears they will really know to stop using both for a while.

- A "John Hughes vibe"? Really? Why not just make it Patricia Parker and go full Ghostbusters. (the main proof it has to be a Sony script)

I could probably keep picking the whole thing apart, but I'm sure you get the drift.
The Marvel factor guarantees it will have a big opening with fans. But word of mouth is going to butcher it.

The trolls are the shills defending these "politically correct" cookie cutters.
