Can anyone recommend and Sci-Fi romance animes?

I enjoyed SAO and I was wondering if there were any other sci-fi animes someone could recommend to me?

Animes I have watched-

*Neon Genesis Evangelion
*Attack on Titan
*Naruto
*High School of the Dead

I admit I have not watched very many and I want to watch others but I am not sure what to pick. I would appreciate the help.

I really liked Psycho-Pass. That's a Sci-fi one (not romance). Death Note is brilliant but is more fantasy/crime.

Well, SAO is part of a genre of anime that involves people getting trapped in virtual reality MMORPGs. As such, it's remarkably similar to the .dot hack series, and also, I would imagine, Log Horizon (though admittedly I haven't watched much of the that one). There's also No Game No Life, which revolves around two gamer siblings who get sucked into another world, but it's a bit different.

The person above me mentioned Psycho-Pass and Death Note. These are both great shows, but I personally would classify them more as psychological thrillers with some sci-fi elements. They are both intelligent shows which discuss human morality on a pretty deep scale.

Serial Experiments: Lain, Ergo Proxy, Cowboy Bebop, and Ghost in the Shell are basically required sci-fi viewing for any anime fan worth their salt. I'm not saying they're like SAO, but they are gold.

Lastly, a personal, underrated favourite of mine would have to be Deadman Wonderland. The only problem with it is that it ends abruptly and there will be no series two, as it's way more popular in North America than it was in its native Japan. If you like it, there is a manga series available which is also very good. The anime covers the first eighteen chapters or so.

I tried watching Parasyte but I could not get into it. Though I am considering watching Planates.

I actually quite enjoyed Parasyte: The Maxim, but it's pretty bizarre and fairly violent, which has been a deterrent to some people I know. It does explore some pretty deep topics throughout the series, though, similar to Tokyo Ghoul.

One of the reason I started to like this is because the romance between Asuna and Kirito and I loved the scifi action. I need more like this that actual pulls forward with a good plot...
