I just discovered this anime on Netflix, 4 episodes in and I'm definitely a fan. I wanna get into the mangas but seems like there are both those and novels to read. So question is what do I buy and what order do I read them in?

It's based off the light novels so I would say only focus on them. Though the anime stays pretty close to the light novels just puts the episodes in more chronological order (some of the episodes are actually from side stories the author wrote after he finished the Aincard arc, but before he started the next arc so characters from the appear in it). So Yeah light novels all the way.

I actually just picked up the first light novel this past weekend. About half way through (trying to go slow so it lasts longer, lol) and I'm loving it. There is only 2 light novels in the Aincrad arc right? And also that's what the manga Progressive series is for right, filling in all the gaps before the light novels pick up at leve 74? Would you recommend those?
