I've seen Midnight Cowboy, and I have seen most of the films that Voight and Hoffman have made. That said, I wouldn't recognize Dustin Hoffman's son if he were standing next to me. Same goes for Voight's son.....wouldn't know him from Adam.

shareI saw Midnight Cowboy in a theater the year it was released. (It wasn't "first run" because movies were released differently back then. Midnight Cowboy would have initially played in one or two theaters in Manhattan; the large downtown Jersey City theater where I saw it would have been second run and there were third and fourth run theaters as well.) I was very nervous buying my ticket since, at a few months either side of 16, I was a couple of years too young to be admitted to the then X rated movie. It breaks my heart to see Joe Buck grown up as a right wing nutjob campaigning for our putative Fuehrer. If Mickey wasn't such a despicable character that I hate anyway, I'm not sure I could watch him.
