Questions/Theory about this season and next {spoilers}

Again SPOILERS...

The more I looked as the last episode of Ray Donovan, the more I started to wonder if this was some sort of dream sequence. Meaning the whole season being a dream from when Ray was shot last year. Or at least part of it being a dream. The reason I say this, is the odd appearances of the priest. There was even on scene where the priest was driving on the highway and looked towards the passenger seat. It looked like a scene from the end of last season. And before Hector's fight, the priest magically appeared out of nowhere to me.

The Bridgette getting into NYU. That child does not seam to be NYU material. Seems too good to be true. Plus, why was Ray the only one to see her off to school. Why wasn't Abby there?

Abby clearly lied about her cancer.

Terry being the trainer for a world champion boxer and having a girlfriend now?

Then Bunchy and Teresa were supposed to have left to go up North, but suddenly reappear.

The whole thing flows like a dream more than reality.

But the priest appearing to drive on the same highway with the same skyline as the end of the season and looking over to the passenger seat did it for me.

Too much is going good for the Donovans.

Does anyone else think this might be going on?

Interesting theory I was wondering about the priests scenes but this season has been so bad I rarely paid much attention

Your theory is interesting, but I think you give the writers a lot more credit than they deserve. Everything that has been going on in the show this season, seems to be disconnected from anything. As though the writers have been writing in isolation, unaware of what has come before, or what may come later, that's why it seems like a dream. Really it is not a dream, just an outright mess. Week to week, they just pull it out of their ask, whether it follows or not, just implausible.

More like a nightmare, for those of us who started with the series from the beginning.
