The Portrait of a Man

There's a portrait of a man in Louis and Wyatt's living room that looks very similar to a portrait in Will Truman's apartment. Is it the same one?

reply

Same creators and writers and I think the same producer/director so it may very well be the same portrait.

Save a horse, ride a cowboy.

Looks indeed like the same painting (or a copy of it).
Incidentally it was donated, as part of a large collection of props/scripts and other W&G memorabilia, to the Smithsonian last year. http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/tv/2014/08/19/will-and-grace-make-it-to-the-smithsonian/14287475/

Can't find an official name for the painting or the artist tho...

reply

I am absolutely certain it is the same portrait. I loved seeing it in Will and Grace, and was happily surprised to see it once again! No question in my mind, whatsoever.

reply

I think it was also used in The Birdcage. It may be a gay icon, or maybe by a gay artist. I dunno.
