Were they making a film anyway on 9/11? Like the crew that just happened to be covering a fire station.

Yeah the fire dept had a doc film crew with them. They are the ones who got the footage of the first plane hitting the north tower if I'm not mistaken.

No. The CEO was filming his son's fist day of kindergarten. The footage at the beginning shows this.
