Oh good. Now if we can just get rid of the dumb**** democrats too, this country might actually go somewhere again. The welfare and food stamp ranks have swelled to a critical point since nobody can find good jobs anymore. Yeah...and they've been switching their party ID's for the last two election cycles. This would lead a reasonable person to conclude, as this is continuing to happen, that this bodes poorly for GOP presidential election hopes. Basically two groups are splintering away from them. Those who are more fundamentalist in their belief in "Republic" and those who just don't find themselves truly ideologically aligned. Unless you want to claim the same is happening to the DNC at the same rate...then the OP has a good point.

That's what independents like myself like to call RANK HYPOCRISY. . Most of us non-sheep don't give a **** about skin color. We've put it behind us, or never cared to begin with. We take people one at a time.
Republicans don't sway elections. Neither do democrats. Independents do that. Like a very small dog, you are entirely dependent on liberal America. Your allegiance and misguided devotion to them is sad, but not entirely unexpected. A dog doesn't care about thinking for itself, as long as it gets its handouts. I prefer making my own way in the world, and making my own decisions. That's what grown-ups do. A record-high percentage of Americans identified as political independents last year, according to released Monday.
The survey, based on more than 18,000 interviews conducted throughout the year, found that 42 percent identified as independent, the highest figure since the polling firm began conducting interviews by telephone 25 years ago.
In 2013, 31 percent identified as Democrats, while 25 percent identified as Republican.
According to Gallup, the percentage of Americans identifying as independents grew as the year progressed — surging in the final three months of the year alongside the federal government shutdown and the troubled debut of the Obamacare website.
Although Gallup notes that it's common for the percentage of independents to increase in a nonelection year, the uptick in independent identification reflects a trend in recent years toward more Americans eschewing party labels.
The shift toward increased independent status has been more damaging to the GOP than the Democratic Party. Since peaking at 34 percent in 2004, Republican identification has now fallen to 25 percent — the lowest level in 25 years.
Democratic identification has also declined in recent years but at a lesser rate, falling to 31 percent from a high of 36 percent in 2008, when Barack Obama was elected president.
