"Bob...

...Bob!! Oh my god! Bob! Bob! Danny!!! Danny!!! No, Bob!! Oh my god, oh my god! Call 911!! Call 911!!!"

The stupid wife wasted so much time shouting instead of just calling 911 herself.

reply

I agree but it may be more realistic than we think. People sort of lose their minds in situations of high stress.

reply

When you notice your loved one is having a massive heart attack, I think it is human nature for your first instinct to stay with him and have someone else be the one to make the call.

Also, the phone was not in their bedroom, which was why the son was running all over the place trying to find it.

reply

She didn't know he was having a massive heart attack. She had no way of making that diagnosis. And I think it is human nature for intelligent people to do whatever they can to save a loved one.

reply

OK, you tell us what you do when you are with a loved one and that happens. I'm sure you'll act all calm cool and collected right?

reply

You don't have to be calm, cool and collected, but you can be level-headed. Once I realized there was something wrong, instead of yelling "Bob!" over and over - because that's not going to help anyone - I would grab a phone and call 911 like people in duress do EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. In fact, that's exactly what I've done in situations like that. Yelling a person's name isn't going to help them. Calling 911 will. Not sure how you can even argue with that.

reply

It doesn't matter what you would do in that situation because every single person is different and thus will react in different ways. For every person that stays calm I will guarantee there is at least one other person who freaks the hell out. Obviously staying calm in that situation is for the best but that doesn't mean that people, even intelligent ones, would do that.

reply

That's exactly what it means.

reply

Yeah, whatever you say.

reply

Thank you.
