Rotten Tomatoes Suck

This movie is fantastic, but only 17% RT score.
But they gave that Guardians of the Galaxy crap 92%
I don't get movie critics, never have and never will.

I'm also trying to understand the movie critics, especially on this film. When the Game Stands Tall has great depth and
touches on so many situations that my family, friends and I have experienced! It not only touched the heart, but one's mind as well. It is not only an outstanding true story about life, but remarkably well acted and directed!

It is very interesting that most viewers have given it high ratings and reviews, while the critics sound like they didn't even see it!

The Rotten Tomatoes critics are LIARS.

Rotten to the core.

Never trust a paid "opinion."

reply

Yes, I too believe in the deep-running conspiracy of critics, from all across the nation and employed by many different types of sources, being paid off by unknown entities to arbitrarily "hate" on random films periodically.

Michael Bay probably just forgets to send his monthly checks to "Rotten Tomatoes Critics Anonymous" and that's why he gets bad reviews, right? Nothing to do with quality.

Haha, awesome response! 

Aww little baby upset his precious football movie got slammed?

reply

Obviously you don't understand that rotten tomatoes is an aggregated site. "They" don't give movies any scores whatsoever.

Guardians of the Galaxy is great!
This looks like yet another formulaic and overly sentimental sports movie. I have no idea what the appeal of these sports movies are. It's the same movie over and over again.

reply

It's just a question of opinion, motivated by different tastes, etc. In your opinion Guardians of the Galaxy is crap but in the opinion of many critics it was not. Likewise, this film was fantastic to you and was not to many critics. What of it? You have your opinion and they have their's. What I don't get and never will is why people are so interested in the critical consensus. I understand reading a specific critic or several particular critics regularly, sure, but the whole concept of "A bunch of critics think this..." doesn't really connect with me.
