De La Salle are the villains

Seriously people should not be pulling for De La Salle. It's in no way inspirational. There is nothing sportsmanlike about their program. They recruit the best players from a wide area and built their streak on teams that were simply no match for them.

This film should have been about the team from Seattle that finally beat them.

What exactly is unsportsmanlike about people willingly wanting to play for you and the selecting the best of these candidates?

When the stars are the only things we share
Will you be there?

The thing is, the coach was all about forming the kids, turning them into real man, supportive of each other, etc, and that's all good.

However,

they had a 151 win streak, with complete domination, winning by 5-6 touchdowns, and all that. Yet, he had a kid on his team for 4 years that didn't play a single game, even with such leads and domination over other teams.

That kinda ruins the whole point of the movie.

Dude was completely about winning, and by a lot. The whole 'boo hoo i get annoyed by the streak and records' just seem way off character for what they show us throughout the movie, and it even cost the other kid the record, which would affect his future career and life.

That sucked.

Las Vegas Bishop Gorman is the same type of school. Best kids on Nevada and many from California. Booster run program with better facilities most JCs. Millions of dollars competing with regular high schools.

As far as we know, they are not doing anything illegal or doing anything that other schools aren't also doing.
It's a combination of having good coaches, good players, a little bit of luck and stupid amount of hard work.
