How about a HS sports movie about a real HS sports team....

... that is, not a super team put together through recruiting (DeLaSalle), transfer and consolidation students (Friday Night Lights and Remember the Titans) -- a team made up of only kids from the school's home district, not hotshots who transferred in??

"Hoosiers" would probably be the closest thing to it, but even in "Hoosiers" there was plenty of talk about players transferring in or out.

How is Remember the Titans part of that boneheaded comment. The team was made up of kids who should have been going to school together their whole lives.

In "Remember the Titans" (also in real life) T.C. Williams was in fact a super high school which was created when two schools which had had pretty good teams prior to integration were merged together into one team.

If the segregated schools had simply been mixed by race (probably by busing) to create two medium-sized schools, they probably both would have been pretty good but not a state contender.
