Do new shows even get a chance anymore?

I had only seen one episode of this show, and it was just alright to me. But the thing that stands out to me about all of this is that the show had barely anytime to gain a following. Do networks even try to give new shows a chance anymore? It like, if you don't prove you're absolutely amazing in a mere 6 episodes, then you're done. Most shows can't even get their original premise out in 6 episodes. It's just too difficult. I think networks should have to give new shows at least 20 episodes to prove themselves.

I liked it. It is a shame that producers don't have patience anymore. Let the show grow an audience and if it does not gain one by season 2, then cancel it.

I'm sitting in an emergency animal hospital right now. Wish this show hadn't been cancelled. :(

Not on NBC, they are pretty quick to pull the plug on everything.

Then again, there's some real garbage that makes it to a second season. It's not about quality, it's about who will watch.
