Geller makes an excellent point at the end of the movie

He basically said that even with Randy's success at exposing so-called psychics, frauds and charlatans, there are more of them ever, and more followers of them than ever. It's a sad commentary on the gullibility of people but, unfortunately, true. I guess one can conclude that if people want to believe - they will believe (plus the corollary that a good magician/charlatan has the ability to deceive many into thinking he has powers beyond magic).

I was actually impressed Gellar agreed to be in the documentary. It might have been the way they cut his interviews, but it really did sound like he was admitting he was a fake too, without actually saying he was a fake. Like you said, people believe what they want or need to believe, and we find thousands of ways to rationalize away any evidence that doesn't support it.

Why?
His income derives from publicity, not from any true ability.
Without fame he has nothing.
He's basically Kim Kardashian with testicles.

Cheers

Yeah, but am I gonna go ahead and buy a Uri Geller mystical mind-reading diamond ring because I saw him in this film? Fk no. I might have, if I never heard of him or this film though. So no, this doesn't help him make money. It definitely hurts him financially.
