I'm ashamed to say, I enjoyed this movie!

I had to shower a lot after watching history getting whizzed on, but over all not bad! If you enjoy punishing yourself by watching bad movies, this is up your alley..

I'm glad to hear you say that! This was the most challenging film I've ever put together for the good 'ole Asylum. I have never asked a crew to work harder or expected more out of a cast. The people involved are incredibly proud of the work they put in and I couldn't have been more humbled by working with such a committed and diligent team.

This was a fun dumb movie. It entertained me and there's nothing to be ashamed of. I just wish there was more scenes showing the initial outbreak and the townspeople turning.

One thing that I love about zombie movies is seeing how much fun the actors are having. Lol

I'm not ashamed to say that I enjoyed the movie, too.

What it lacked in budget it made up for in good performances (great in the case of Lincoln and Mary) and a good story.

Like another low-budget surprise - Osombie - it was literate and gave us characters that we hated to see become zombie chow. I hate movies where the characters are too dumb or too obnoxious to live.

Thanks.

The funny thing about this particular Asylum knock-off film is that it got right what that lackluster big-budget film it is knocking off got wrong. The big-budget Lincoln could only play Lincoln straight. Knockoff Lincoln played the Abe we all think we know and love, but he was also able to let loose his alter ego of "Zombie Killer Abe" with all of the over-the-top gusto that is necessary for a film with this ridiculous a plot. Even knock-off Mary Lincoln was better in her role. We don't want to see Abe Lincoln fighting supernatural beings to serve up some tired and pious allegory. We want to see Abe's frenetic alter-ego whack supernatural beings because it's a loony premise that allows the Lincoln character to amuse and horrify us.

Got to agree with you, this is film is pretty good. Watched last night, the guy playing Lincoln was bang on. Infact I didn't like Daniel Day Lewis's portrial as I felt it was a caricature of him, kind of like when a cartoon does him with a really ott voice.

Anyway this film whilst not the greatest was enjoyable. It did suffer from what all low budget zombie movies suffer from, that the dead only seem to 'rot' in the head and the neck and shoulders are perfectly flesh toned. Is it that hard to get some make up applied on these areas, if only to pale down the tonage. Ever film fails to do this.

Some of the other acting was wonky but not enough to spoil the movie.

I've watched this movie 3 times and just think it's great! It was so refreshing to see such a zany and preposterous plot. If ever there was a zombie outbreak and a president had to guide us through it...Abraham Lincoln would definitely be that man. He would be on the front lines!

I didn't so much enjoy the movie as Orbest's acting. He actually did a noticably good job. Actually I did rate it higher than some awful direct to video crap. Apoclypse Z, anyone?

No need to be ashamed! I got it on DVD from our public library around the time it came out. I gave it three stars on imdb.

What surprised me is that I still remember it with a certain fondness years later. There are so many films that I gave better rating than that and I don’t even remember seeing them a year later (and only find out I have seen them when I stumble on them on imdb and it tells me what rating I gave them). And I still remember how this film ended (something I thought was very clever, actually).
