Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter vs Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies?

I have seen alot of posts about the upcoming movie, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and am wondering what you guys think of the upcoming movie and its "mockbuster" counterpart, Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies? Which will be better?

reply

Is 'mockbuster' even a word? Because it should be!

reply

Are you seriously asking this question?Have you seen what this film company has produced? If it could this film would get a -10 rating

reply

May I point out that Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies has an estimated budget of $150,000 compared to the budget of $70,000,000 for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

reply

IMO Budgets mean nothing its the entertainment factor that comes first

reply

Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies entertainment factor = zero.

reply

And this is an opinion arrived at how? Have you seen the movie? It's true that asylum doesn't normally make good movies. I will give you that. And as a person who normally doesn't like zombie films in general, I wouldn't normally like it either. However, I know 2 things: 1) Bill Oberst Jr is amazing in this film. 2) the unusual combination of historical fact and a neat twist at the end make for an entertaining movie. To say it has no entertainment value would be incorrect. I respectfully beg to differ with you! I would encourage you to watch the film first and then make your decision.

reply

Yes, I saw film. Abraom Lincoln has pocker face and other men characters too. Zombies, gore are so cheap, that don't make entertainment.

reply

The Mockbuster knocks the blockbuster out.

reply

I just crawled out from under my rock and I don't know what I find more mindblowing: The fact that a movie called "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" actually exists, or the 70m budget for it. *pinching myself*

I've just watched this and it barely passes as entertainment. Avoid!

reply

Thanks for the heads-up :)

The book, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is a great read and was hard to put down. While the author did a lot of research on smaller known facts of Lincoln, as the title suggests, it is fiction. But it really is a great book and I cannot wait for the movie. As for Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies, I think I'll wait.

reply

Chimpanzees aren't monkeys.

You can tell the people who wrote Daria, who will tell you it was something the people of a fictitious television show featured in their cartoon said.

Do you really think budget means it will be more or less entertaining?

reply

But it's got ZOMBIES!

reply

If the Asylum made it it'll be hilarious I'm sure, It's extra-cheese times 10, & probably funny as well. I'm gonna watch it later today, why not

reply

Which movie is the real story of Abe Lincoln?

reply

All stories are fictional. First is poor, - other maybe like "New Sherlock Holmes". I don't be suprised if soon we see moovie "Don Quixote Slays Saturn Vampires".

reply

Are you saying that Abraham Lincoln (the former President of the USA) NEVER fought vampires OR zombies?

reply

Maybe he did, but not in that way you will see in upcoming moovies. What documentical sources the film team had work on, - none?

reply

I think my sense of humor is lost on you.

reply

I was afraid to break your psychical integrity.

reply

Look, I just want to support the movie that tells the REAL story of Abraham Lincoln. I know Spielberg's upcoming movie is going to tell "a" story of Honest Abe, but there's no mention of vampires OR zombies, so I'm not interested.

reply

Frankly after watching this film, I don't see how I can take in another film with Abe vs anything $70million dollar mess, why not make him fight zompires kill 2 with one stone.

My Identity's been stolen,They are refusing to give me another one!

reply

Might as well make it werezompires.

Documentical. Wow! It's like a cross between documentary and historical. Or hysterical.

reply

hahaha your post made me very happy

You must have confused these 2 horror movies with the Spielberg one, which is supposed to be true, but as you know, movie makers can never stick to the facts. They leave out people, sometimes even family members, add others, change events and locations, add a love interest that never was. Then it can only be said to be "based" on true events.
As usual, people are divided into 2 camps, pro-high quality and pro-low quality productions on these 2 Lincoln horrors. Few will allow themselves to enjoy both for what they are.
We should all just be grateful AB: Vampire Hunter wasn't done in the 90s, because at that time the big studios would've surely cast Will Smith as Lincoln!

I honestly feel sorry for people that watch Asylum films. I mean really, to think that people literally have nothing better to do with their time than to watch the garbage that this company pumps out. Its pretty freaking sad when you stop and think about it. Those people will be sitting on their death beds one day wishing they had just a little bit more time left and then they will think about all of the time they wasted sitting in front of a TV set watching utter garbage. In all honesty, if people cant think of something better to do then they deserve Asylum. These people really are in desperate need of some constructive hobbies.

You cant blame people for watching one or two Asylum films. There is the curiosity factor and sometimes people just need to see things for themselves before they can truly understand what people are saying. That said, o continue to watch these kinds of films even after you have seen a couple for yourself is nothing short of pathetic.

I saw Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter yesterday and it was the most aweful movie ive seen for a long time. The movie set-ups for a "mockbuster" grand slam.

To people who complains about Asylum calling them a complete waste of time hasnt gotten the point at all. It's the original movies that are a complete waste of time. Asylum has more love for cinema then any of the soulless movie companies that has 1 goal which is to make you fat, and keep buying mass produced cinematic garbage.

Im gonna check out this movie this weekend with a bunch of "mockbuster" loving friends. Weed and beer is gonna be brought and we will have a very good time indeed.
