How did people on Noah's ark know the story of the first seven days

In what is more or less the first scene in the TV version,
an old man on Noah's ark is telling the story of how God created the earth in seven days.
How does he know that story, and how did the people who wrote the bible learn about the story in the first place?

Who the hell knows, the show is pretty bad by any standard, and tends to lean towards campy while still trying. It's weird, unique, and totally B-Movie History Channel material.

Noah speaks to God, right? So maybe the magical sky daddy of the universe gave Noah him the whole story in order to explain as to why he was about to viciously murder everything by drowning the earth in a slow, agonizing death.. except, of course, for fish. So it would seems God *beep* up with that little loophole but, hey! Sh*t happens.

There were scriptures before the Bible. The Bible was just a compilation of all the had all the the time. Earlier people had different parts of it up to their time.

um seeing as how he was centuries after adam he'd have learned from his forefathers.

seth job methusala enoch...all of which are before noah, just to name a few, all followed god. (we know job was before noah since pangea & dinosaurs are mentioned in his book...pnagea broke up in the days of peleg 200 years after the flood. no dinos since the flood.)

so thats how...just like how you as a kid would pick stuff up from your parents/grandparents. seriously why was this question even asked....but anyway.

And how did those know?

The series, or at least the parts I watched, did not make it clear, how Noah could know, so I asked.

Evidently God directly told Adam, or at least one of his children.

"I'd rather be right and on my own, than wrong in the company of everyone else."

reply

oh you were talking strictly about the series?

ok. who knows ... its too screwed up to worry about it. in the actual bible adam/eve got it direct from god/angels & then passed the message on down the lines to noah. but in this series, whatever. the NT part was better than the OT part.

hey i know...roma downey told him! BWAHAHAA
