Oh wow, Jersey Shore + Underage Marriages!

Why is this trash on TV? Seriously, I don't get it. TLC is the worst when it comes to trashy reality shows, and this takes the cake!

I mean first, how is a slutty-looking 14-year-old even legally allowed to get married? She's a child, and underage. Sounds like the feds need to step in like they did with the FLDS. Only, these girls are being allowed into arranged marriages with boys their age who look like wannabe guidos. I doubt some of the marriages last. I mean they are young, what would they know about marriage? I know some last, but that's RARE.

I swear they all look like they popped right out of fricking Jersey Shore, the WORST reality show in HISTORY. Isn't America grand? LOL!

I would like to see the stats on how many gypsy (both American and UK) actually last. I would also like to know if these people pay their taxes, etc. As for America being grand, this show and Jersey Shore highlight groups of people who are desperate for fame, even if they look bad. I think that was evident last night when the dad paraded his daughter around the streets in that pink dress. They're just a bunch of braggarts.

The father from last night's episode was quite disturbing and a hypocrite. I mean parading your daughter around the streets to total strangers and then being proud of the boys reaction to the daughters dress; but taking issue with the way gorga (however you spell it) girls dressed and danced. Even though the gorgas weren't really dressed any differently than the gypsies.

I'm not sure who's cultural beliefs I find the most fascinating as well as disturbing. European or American.

I'd just like to know how the hell this father is going to get away with allowing his child to get married.

Georgia law I think only allows a girl to be married at age 16, but only with parental consent.

TLC has developed quite a reputation for attracting pedophile and pedophile enablers on their shows. The Duggars, Mama June, that dude from cake boss, ect.

It would not surprise me if there was some child porn ring or other human trafficking going on behind the scenes of the Big Fat "Gyspy" weddings.

I also doubt that the marriages last. That's the only logical result of living in a society where only very young girls are considered sexually appealing. When a woman reaches her mid-twenties, she's probably kicked to the curb for the next fourteen year old aspiring "Gypsy" homemaker.
