Howling!!!

The comedy of 2013!

Agree. So funny and Simon Baker is soooooo gorgeous. Best British comedy in a long long time!

Is there any kissing scenes, naked scenes with Simon?

reply

Kissing scenes but no Baker nakedness unfortunately :-(

Totally agree! I just saw it in theater, and I was laughing a lot! My first comment I made to my girlfriend when we were walking out was that they had a perfect amount of comedy in the film. Most rom-com's have 30 minutes of comedy at the start then turn serious for the most part until the very end. This movie had comedy throughout the whole film. I don't get some of these other "reviews" where people say they just "chuckled a few times". I tend to think I have a great sense of humor, and I howled at this movie as well!

Stupid + Boring

I'm sorry the Coen brothers don't direct the porn I watch. They're hard to get ahold of, okay?

It really shows how people are so different. So many of the reviews HATED this movie - and I think it is the funniest thing I've seen in 5 years.

I love the sense of humor of the writer. Interesting to then see that he has been involved in so much of what Sasha Baron Cohen has done.

It's not a perfect film, but some of the bits are just hysterical and I think it holds together well as a rom com, which I love. If you love romantic comedies, do watch this and make your friends who like a bit more farce to watch it too. It's a good combination of both.

I loved it and gave it a ten - which I've never done for any film before. This was the funniest film I've seen in so long that I bought the damned thing. The only disconcerting part was seeing Rose Byrne in a bikini thing...her head looked so huge. She looked like an alien and it made me sad to think she's sick. She has to be. She looked old for her age, too. She was so beautiful in 28 Weeks Later. I think there's a problem there. Anyhoo, the greatest part about her character was her goofy husband... LOVE IT.

"...I have nipples, Greg. Could you milk me?"

reply

Yes, quite a funny anti-romantic film!! As a guy, I loved it!!!

From the wedding speech onwards I was most delighted to see Stephan Merchant. Just his speech had me quite laughing. And Minnie Driver's jibes were hilarious.

Most romcom's now-a-days seem to have steered away from the comedy aspect to accommodate for steamy scenes but this included it all. That scene with Farris was so amusingly sad. And the dove scene when Rose dove of her seat was genius. Lovely comedic timing.

The honeymoon photo's scene was absolutely hilarious.
