Uhh, No. Not at all. It's much more of a mix of Tim and Eric Awesome Show and Space Ghost Coast to Coast.
I was actually aware of Del Talk Show before this show premiered (been subscribed to deltalkshow on youtube for years) so yeah, you're totally wrong. Del Talk Show is real public access, it's humor is not necessarily purposeful. I used to watch it, but they post so many clips I can't keep up and they're not always funny and can be unironically terrible.
Eric Andre Show is just a show in a public access parody style, very similar to Tim and Eric's work (because their production company is involved), and also a satire/deconstruction of late night talk shows as well.

shareno its actually a ripoff of a 70s show "Fernwood 2night" (which the Zach Galifanikis show between 2 ferns is probably inspired from too). They have said this in interviews -- and it works so well. The difference, however, is this is not just a spoof. It is a deconstruction of the talk show. It is a surreal comedy only geniuses and idiots can appreciate, for the subtle humor and new perspective on society; or for the low-brow antics at times (which I personally feel is just symbolism for the feelings and thoughts of an actual late night host they are spoofing -- so for instance, when he's smashing the set and sits down defeated in his chair in the intro, that is the work and anger and angst and subhuman primal urges that got them there, only to have to continue on; or during "The Evil Monologue" how he talks about raping his wife and Burress just laughs -- very surreal observation of the alpha-beta relationship typical of a host and his sidekick).
This show is a gem. Never seen del talk show. WIll check it out now though, but don't give them undue credit for this piece of genius that they composed themselves.

shareI'm confused about how its even known by multiple people on this board? I could barely find any information about it and it was not funny on its youtube videos which had like only 500 views..
shareWell, not everyone on the board does evidently. But forums do tend attract people who are knowledgeable about its subject matter (or prepared to be, at least). I mean, how come you can post a question about the minute of particle physics in a 9gag comment and still get an answer?
