Changes I would make to this show

Okey Dokey Lokey so i love this show but at the same time I think it's kiiiinda corny o~o sooo they are some changes i would make to this show to make it totally AwEsOmE!if these changes were made, this show would be as popular as My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic! ^__^

1.Make the animation style a little bit different...make it look less tacky and MAKE THE HUMANS LOOK MORE NORMAL INSTEAD OF GIVING THEM GIANT HEADS

2.Make Blythe an ARTIST instead of a fashion designer.the main character being a fashion designer just makes it waaaay too girly >. < i think it would be way cooler if she was an artist who likes to draw animals

3.Make the villains COOL and scary instead of super duper stupid and ANNOYING like the twins

these are just a few changes that i thought of.what would YOU guys change about the show to make it more awesome?

1: I would agree with you, but they are self aware of the designs. There are a few points where she mentions she has a big head.

2: I'm intrigued by that idea, but then what would Minka the monkey do if Blythe is an artist?

3: The twins have there moments for me, but not the best of villains for sure (though I don't think they're really trying to be). However, do you have an idea on who or what would make a better villain for the show? Cool and scary is not enough. What would they be, human or animal? What would be their motivation for being villains, or what would they have against Blythe and/or the Pets and Pet Shop itself?

1.I know but it still bothers me how huge the heads are o~o the animation looks tacky to me

2.they could BOTH be artists! \^-^/

3.i dunno,i haven't came up with any ideas yet o~o i just wish they would have a really cool and evil villain instead of annoying villains x___x

#1 Have you even SEEN a Blythe Doll? They had that Freakishly Large Head since 1972. I had that issue with the show but then I discovered the history of the Blythe Doll and the Freakishly Large Head is her thing. Small Headed Blythe is like a My Little Pony Without a Cutie Mark, or a Non-Transforming Transformer. Now the Art Style, since Hasbro took over LPS the characters had bigger heads, it fits the world of Blythe and her Freakishly Large Head. The animation and color palette seem similar to some Flash games for girls. Probably done on purpose for Marketing reasons. Since the designs for the characters are so stylized, some liberties have to be taken. (Too realistic animation would look a bit weird with the stylized look.)

#2 So, what's wrong with Girly? The same way some girls may like some non-Girly things, there can be some girls that like Girly things. Now there's another reason why Blythe is a "Pet Fashion Designer". Hasbro is in this to sell more toys. Having Blythe as a "Pet Fashion Designer" allows Hasbro to make Rainy Day parka Zoe and Beach Time fun Penny Ling and fans of the show as well as children WILL BUY THEM (The fans of the show for canon reasons. That's how I ended up with a Glimmer Wings Rarity)

#3 Do we REALLY need VILLAINS in LPS? The show is about a high school girl who can talk to animals. The show doesn't lend itself to have a "Big Bad Scary" Villain because it's in a world close to the real one. It's not a magical land where Librarians become Princesses. The closest character to a Villain would be the Biskits' father owner of the Largest Ever Pet Shop and he is not really "evil".

Trying to make Littlest Pet Shop more like MLP:FIM would be a mistake. The Brony Phenomenon was a fluke. LPS already has a lot of criticism against it by being called a bad attempt to redo the success of MLP:FIM. I'll accept that it needs to be about twenty percent cooler.

Alice from the Resident Evil movies is the worst Mary Sue character since Steven Seagal.

I actually would support those suggestions...although the changes would probably have had to be made before the show went into production, or at least after the pilot ep(s.)

I understand that the concept is based on the huge-headed Blythe dolls, combined with the second coming of Littlest Pet Shop toys (giant heads and eyes with tiny, nondescript bodies; I much preferred the more realistic original LPS toys.) Still, I would prefer more realistic character designs--at least for the non-humans. It's just harder for me to accept/buy/care about/love characters when they're too cartoony-looking. I do like the LPS characters quite a lot, especially Zoe. But I still often picture them in my head the way I wish they looked onscreen.

The Biskit twins are deliberately irritating; their father is more likable, really. He thinks he's Mr. Business, but for all of his posturing, he's actually quite pathetic and doesn't know what he's doing. 'Tis sad. Aww. I like the splashes of neon fuchsia in his standard outfit. (Speaking of standard outfits, Blythe refuses to be one of those TV characters whose closet is filled with twenty duplicates of the same exact thing--they've been giving her different clothes and hairdos just about every episode recently.) Anyway, I wonder what made Fisher choose the pet supply industry in the first place.

It does feel a little "uurrrrrgh" to me that Blythe had to be Ms. Fashionista Designer-Girl. Feels overdone. Like, you can't just have more 'average,' relatable young people as characters anymore; they all have to be super-outstanding at some particular thing (typically the only thing that defines them as characters/people), to the point where they become famous stars or are suddenly being given all these opportunities left and right from "important" people. This show's not too bad with that, but now that somebody mentions it, I did find it a bit cliche that the main girl's a fashion designer. Even if her primary clients are assorted animals...and really, WHAT IS UP with the group of regulars?! In reality they'd be 90%+ dogs and cats. Here they decide to randomly go with one dog, no cat, and a PANDA and MONGOOSE and SKUNK and MONKEY...?!? The gecko's the only other one commonly kept as a pet, or even recommendable for that. Furthermore, it kinda irks me how Blythe and the rest go around saying "pets" so much all the time. People simply say "animals" a lot more often, but the show uses "pets" constantly--in situations where the general word is much more appropriate because they're not referring only to domesticated species. Blythe can--for some reason these writers, unlike those of the Wild Thornberrys, clearly don't feel compelled to address--talk to all animals, including wild ones!!! It seems as if they just want to stick as many chibified, cute animals of all species as they can in there with no regard to believability at all.

Being an artist who draws/paints animals could possibly have been a little better for her. Or someone who enjoys filming and documenting and photographing them, and/or making movies about them. Whatever. All she really needs to do is love animals! I like her, and the whole setup is cute, but usually the pets' storylines are better/funnier than hers.

Imo the animation, characterizations, designs, stories, and music of LPS are all fair to good, whilst those of MLP range from very good to truly awesome. I can't imagine the former ever equaling or overtaking the latter--not the way it's going, anyhow. I believe that G4 is by far the best incarnation of My Little Pony (G1 and G2 were cute and good, but I didn't find them anything to obsess over.)
