Season 4 - Silence of the Lambs? + Who would play Clarice?

I've gotten bored of Will Graham's character, to be honest.

Since they've already done their own version of Red Dragon, which I thought was much better than the movie btw, why not take on the Silence of Lambs story?

I'd like to see a new lead character along side Hannibal, and the only thing I found personally disappointing about 1992's silence of the Lambs is that they didn't dive deep enough into Clarice's history and character.

I'd love to see a new and improved artistic series based around Silence of the Lambs.

I'd love to see how he manipulates Clarice and the mind games between them. I'd love to get to know Clarice and her history better.

They tried to do it but were cancelled before they got the rights from MGM.

I feel like the show has made Will so damn important to it that it'd feel awkward for them to just forget about him entirely and shift the focus onto Clarice all of a sudden like they did in the books , unless Will ended up being the one to have died from the fall and Hannibal survived or something. I heard that Bryan wanted to have Will sort of help Clarice in some fashion , and also that he wanted to explore the angle only referenced in the books about how Will's wife left him and he's left miserable and having lost everything, as well as disfigured from the Red Dragon stabbing him in the face.

I figured they'd rewrite the story like HANNIBAL, but this time maybe avoid copyright issues. Instead of Clarice, they'd bring back Will. And the Buffalo Bill substitute would be Doctor Chilton gone mad.

It would have been nice had they adapted all the books, and taken the story beyond that. But I'm fine with Will and Hannibal fighting each other and plummeting to their deaths.

I just don't think there's a chance in hell Will would still be working in the FBI again after season 3....

Yeah, I dunno.... I would absolutely love to see their interpretation of SOTL, but there's the obvious issue of shifting the focus onto Clarice all of a sudden after making Will such an important part of the series ( things like that have been done before, though. ) , and if Will was meant to help Clarice capture Buffalo Bill or deal with Hannibal in some sort of fashion, it wouldn't make sense. Will was indirectly responsible for the deaths of several police officers, the endangerment/torture/near-death of Dr. Chilton, and was directly responsible for the release of a certain dangerous cannibal/serial killer. It simply wouldn't make sense for Will to be allowed to work for the FBI after all that. Then again, there's quite a few things in the show that don't make much sense.
