truth is its also partial sloppy script writing, probably because they wanted to focus on the REAL story
i mean viviene was sleeping around too, and it sounded like wei was gonna patch things up (or at least have the brains to not let viviene find out)

Not Ping comes back in a DLC. It appears Wei was dating her.
