Costume references.
Some of these include DLC...
Mr. Black - Reservoir Dogs. I found this one funny as QT has said he got the black suit idea from John Woo films...which this game is inspired by. But they make the black suit a reference to a film that borrowed from HK cinema instead of HK cinema itself?
Hai Tien Vintage Jumpsuit - If anyone needs this explaining, they are no fan of Martial Art flicks.
Shen Zen - See above, but for a bigger hint. Try the Zodiac Tournament DLC they work well together.
Hog Pen Row - This one has been widely used in various films, but I think it's mostly a reference to Fist Of Fury. I guess they were Bruce fans?
The Bok Gan - Ong Bak.
Manhattan Melee - Jackie Chan wore this in Rumble In The Bronx.
Then there are some that look generic (for Kung-Fu cinema) but I'm sure I've seen them in specific film...but can't think what.
Wedding Suit - I know I've seen a blood soaked white suit in a HK film before, but can't think where.
Monk - Pretty generic, bit for some reason my mind goes right to Enter The Dragon. I'm thinking the guy that talks to Bruce near the start but ended up being a deleted scene since been re-added in later prints of the film.
Grubby Clothes- I know I've definitely seen this in a flick too from someone working undercover or hiding, but can't think where. I'm thinking a Jackie Chan film and seeing Yuen Biao wearing it.
Beat Cop & SDU Gear - Both put me in mind of Jackie Chan's Police Story series of films, but again they are generic cop outfits.
Cultist Uniform - again looks generic, but I know I've seen that particular design in a flick.
Part Time Assassin - Again escapes me, but I'm thinking of a villain in a John Woo film for some reason.
Muay Thai Outfit - Lots of films feature Muay Thai, but for some reason this particular costume rings a bell.
Then there are costumes you can make yourself, for instance.
Try the Mountain Master Triad Set of the Couronne Puffy Vest, J. Jiggler Straight Leg Jeans, and select some apt looking shoes to look like Marty McFly from Back To The Future.
And so, God came forth and proclaimed widescreen is the best.
