does this movie have a shooting in it?

Serious question. I'm curious to watch it but I don't want to watch it if it ends in a mass shooting. Yes I could spoil it by reading wikipedia, but if it IS something I'm going to watch, I don't want to spoil the whole thing by reading that.

reply

No, it does not end with a mass shooting.

reply

okay maybe I should give it a watch. thanks.

gdamnit dude, did you say that just to be mean? I went to watch it and it sure as *beep* had a shooting in it, and it ended with it, too. Okay the last frame was him sitting in a car, but before that.... Whether it was "imagined" or not. I had to turn it off after I saw him shoot the first guy. I was serious when I asked, I had a reason for not wanting to see that.

I was fine seeing a movie depicting how someone could get to that point, I liked the rest of it... but am not fine seeing something like that depicted on screen. I'm not sure it does any good and for me personally I was avoiding that.

I trusted you and you betrayed me. 😢. Which is my own fault, I know (trusting someone on the internet). But still. When someone asks "is there a shooting in this movie?" and there is one shown, well...

What that poster told you is absolutely true. It is the correct answer to the question that you asked.

You asked if it ends in a mass shooting. It doesn't. Never happened.

I'm sorry you were upset by the content, but I don't think this is the other poster's fault. I think you needed to be clearer about what you really wanted to know.

I mean, why not just "Snuffcarcass"?

reply

Sorry that happened to you. The response should've been more of a "yes and no" one. Especially if someone is trying to avoid a disturbing mass shooting scene. Some people do not understand that it can trigger emotional distress for others. Whether the shootings were in a character's imagination or not, it was nonetheless depicted on film.

An improved response (for future users):

YES. You will see a high school shooting, but later discover that it was imagined. Regardless, a firearm is discharged while there is bloodshed and screaming from students and faculty. Thankfully, we find out, at the very last scene, that he didn't go through with it. However, if you want to avoid the scene, just fast forward to the end where you see the guy with the white rabbit in the woods.

Yes. Thanks. Hindsight I get it, the original poster was being clever, no "it does not end with a shooting"...like, technically, plotwise. But I asked if it ended in a mass shooting, in the movie, because if it did, I didn't want to see it. and it WAS in the movie. So...yeah. Okay, I should have said "does this movie depict a mass shooting?" but I wasn't thinking that they'd full on show one but yet not be real, blah blah...I just wanted to know if there was a shooting in the movie because, if so, I wanted to avoid it. And there was. So, thank you at least for understanding my point.

I would say, for sure, if a mass shooting would be a trigger for someone, do NOT watch this movie because YES there is a shooting in the movie.

reply

What exactly were you expecting? It's pretty clear from the description of this movie that it is going to culminate in some sort of act of mass violence. If you are triggered by such things you should have avoided this film entirely.

I don't support the guy who trolled and mislead you, but you are also responsible for having some common sense. This particular line in the synopsis should've been a big enough hint: "The rabbit along with other imaginary characters taunt him into committing one final act of revenge."

reply

Well, that's why I flat out asked if there was a mass shooting in it. If yes, I didn't want to see it. If no, I did.

(But no, I shouldn't have trusted some rando dude on IMDb. that was my mea culpa lol)
