seems it is a one off spoof?what is the point?

At the risk of being seen as immature I am always glad to see SURANNE JONES in anything I wonder what the point of this is?
I guess it might be funny? or it might lead to a series.
It is not being trailed on ITV as a spoof so some people might be annoyed and disappointed when it is shown?

The show was first trailed back at the start of the summer and at that time it wasn't trailed as a spoof. However a few weeks before it was shown the audience was made aware it was a spoof.
