Deplorable

I love b-movies, but this is a c-movie, or probably closer to a d-movie. Bottom of the barrel. When the entire film has loud obnoxious music from start to finish to cover up the horrible sound recording and off-kilter looping, it easily ruins the experience. Hard to believe that Roddy Piper went from the very good "They Live" to this garbage that seemed to have been made over a weekend. I am sorry I ever watched it. * of 4 stars.

Have to agree. I enjoyed the wrestling sequences, but the acting was beyond bad, I mean we're talking 1970's porn movie bad. The constant use of inappropriate rock music detracted from the the on screen action. I suggest the directors go back and watch some classic Hammer Horror to see how to do low budget horror successfully. 3/10 just for the wrestling.

I was going to write a huge rant about this film but have sense changed my mind after reading the few threads on here and the filmmaker being so connected to the comments here. I really do not want to offend him as I know it is very hard to make a movie. Money, people, time, energy, equipment. When one says things like "we just wanted to make a fun film." It makes a little hard for me to criticize the guy for his efforts.

I saw this trailer and for me it was one of the most anticipated movies i wanted to see in the B-Genre or Direct to DVD market this year. You can find some real gem's... "Extraterrestrial" for example is a great one. I loved that movie. It had a lot of things i really liked.

However, this one i did not like. There are just too many technical issues I have with this movie. Technical in all aspects. I don't really wanna throw this guy under the fire at all. I just thought it was bad and i am sorry i do cause i really really wanted to love this movie. I love the premise and the cast that was chosen. Just too many technical issues and execution. I am really sorry i did not like your film as i was really wanting to love it...

To be fair, I think he only ever did two good movies... well one amazingly awesome movie (They Live) and one good movie (Hell Comes to Frog Town), the rest were pretty forgettable. He's still got it though, without Piper this movie wouldn't have had anything going for it. I wouldn't say it's any worse than most of the Troma movies, but I doubt I'll ever want to watch it again (and to be fair that applies to most Troma movies too).
