Question About The Ending (Spoiler)

The lead girl was bit. Why didn't she turn? I know the demon was cast out...but it's a zombie movie. The spirit going away should have nothing to do with curing a bite. Zombie top ten rule...the only way to survive a zombie bite is quick amputation of the infected area. Just thought I'd point that out.
