Sorry, but the actress looks (and is!) WAYYY older than her character is supposed to be!!! The actress is 29 in real life, and looks it in the show - you can see it around her eyes.
Don't get me wrong, she's very pretty, but NO WAY does she pull off a teenager!!! I thought the Jamie character really looks super young, though...

The character of Laura is about 20-21 now and the actress pulled off the 18 year old version a couple of years ago, but now she is clearly looking more than two years older than the Jamie character. The show no longer seems to be focusing on the minor age difference. They've also seemed to drop any reference to Mike's former homo/bi-sexuality.
