Is this a limited-run show?

Is this a limited-run show, like a mini-series, or is it a regular TV show that will last from season to season?

I ask because I think I read somewhere that this show is a limited-run (only meant to last a few episodes) show, and was just wondering id that was true or not.

Replies appreciated!

during the trailer they are calling it an event so i would say it is just a mini-series.

only 6 episodes long...if successful, may go for season 2 depending on cast availability...there are 6 big name stars in this..

I'm sure they will renew it and make it a regular series if it is successful.

Yea. It'll run only as long as necessary until the show helps along Hillary Clinton's next run and election as President of the United States.

It's being advertised as a "limited series event" now, but The Starter Wife was advertised as a mini series too.

I read an article from awhile ago where USA network executives said they were planning on turning it into a full television show and giving it a second season if it had high enough ratings, but I can't find that article again. I guess it's kind of like The River on ABC in that way. Even if they didn't say it outright, you can kind of just guess that if the ratings are high enough that they'll renew it.

Sigourney Weaver has also said she wants to revisit the character, indicating the whole cast is probably set for a second season if it's green lit.

The USA execs seem really excited about this show and the script. I think part of the reason that it's starting as a mini series is because it deviates so much from USA's bread and butter: the sunny procedurals. They want to reel in a new audience without alienating their old one.
