Why would a mini series end with so many things just ´hanging in there´? There are few subplots that weren't properly adressed or solved. It didn't feel like the show ended. Maybe

They threw people (me included) off with that "Limited Series" nonsense. New language. We won't be fooled again. However, I will be glad if it comes back for a second season.

'Limited series' was referring to the show having an abnormally short first season of only six episodes.

Thank you! I went to Wikipedia (probably mistake number one) because I didn't know much about the show and wanted to see when the next episode aired. It says on Wiki that the show is a mini series. I nearly cried. Thanks for setting the record straight. I can put the tissue away and begin anxiously awaiting season two!
