How did the budget jump from 12 million in 2012 to 24 Million 2014?

The budget doubled in size in just 2 years, but movie did not seem like it should cost $24 millon...
Can anyone answer this question?

the cost of filming in las vegas as well as the cost of promo.

Because the first movie was such a major box-office hit that made twice over its budget, that's also why.

Don't forget there were a few cameos in there like Kelsey Grammar and others. You don't get them for free or peanuts.
