Small towns get bad raps

I don't live in a small town and after a lot of the scary movies I've watched I would never want to live in a small town. In Smalltown:

Cop's son can stab people and get away with it.

Cop helps son dispose of dead body.

Cop's son assaults minor because he dare help an injured man.

Cop burns minor because minor may know whereabouts of the stranger.

Cop puts gun to head of unarmed stranger while said stranger is locked up in jail.

Cop captures minor and mom because they try to skip town.

Cop threatens to kill minor if he doesn't give up healing secret.

Cop forcibly takes blood sample from prisoner.

Cop once again helps son skirt the law.

Cop kills another cop to help son escape.

Aren't small towns great?
