huge plot hole...

**slight spoilers**
ok maybe i messed something. the plot was so convoluted and inane that it's very possible. but how is it that the "vampire" (and i use the term very, very loosely), can rub the kid with his blood all over his burns, face and neck, with no risk of contagion. but a small bit of blood gets in a cut on the kids hand, and in less than an hour he's burning up in the sun?

the movie didn't entirely suck but the plot was poorly conceived. and a vampire with little strength, no powers to speak of, even poor recuperative powers, seems, well, a waste of time. i'm not even going to get into the total lack of reasoning and judgement by the antagonists.

i didn't hate it, but didn't overly like it, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah, I think I missed the same thing you did. Not sure how the kid became vampiric. Well, it was his dad........so........I guess it was a genetic thing?

I think the blood had to be blessed. The first time the stranger used his blood on the boy he recited an incantation. He did not finish the incantation on the blood taken for the cop's son and he did not say the incantation when the boy got blood on his hands when the gloves ripped.

Yes, this is the case. When his blood was being drawn in the jail cell he says in a frenzy that the blood needs to be blessed. The lieutenant tells the guards to shut up and they hit him with their guns, thus he cannot finish the blessing.

👍👏

He was weak because he fed off of animals instead of humans and kept getting mortally wounded. If he'd fed off at least one human he would've healed quickly and would've been much stronger.
