I've never seen anything else she was in, she was really good in this. Real natural at playing a nutcase. She was scary.

She is a great actress but I didn't like her in this role. I agree with the other commenter, watch Penny Dreadful!

But was she supposed to be scary/mentally ill, or just frustrated and angry? I felt like she was over the top.

I think she was just frantic to be seen and going through an awful lot with the drinkiNg and be married to HIM.

It would be interesting to see it from her viewpoint.
