shareWow, that's a pretty major alteration to the original story. Phil being gay seemed to fit in the film as he never seemed interested in Kat or her mom, despite overt attempts to seduce him. How different was the book, overall?
shareIt is different in some ways... like her relationship with her mother and the detective is more detailed. And of course the endig is different. There is no gay friend, she had 2 girl friends a fat girl and a cheerleader. The book is much better than the movie in my opinion.
