Jackie Chan: chinese version of Steven Seagal

Someone said that this movie was a huge hit in China. I cannot say he/she was lying but, you know, even a rubbish film could make a hundred millions (RMB) box-office in China.

However, this movie was never a hit in Hong Kong, even no one sure it was on big screen or not. The reason was so obvious as Jackie Chan was so outdated. This film made no difference from his old ones. People from mainland China may find he is still funny because those people never see the world outside their barns. But spending money & time in this one was a real shame.

I see fat people! Are you alright, Haley Joel Osment?

Box office are made to please the investors, especially in China when people concern pride and numbers have no standards. Even domestic *beep* movies receive 2 billion in open week, who's gonna believe that?

Not even local public believes that box-offices are lies, the true reason to make such high numbers are so film companies could 1: gain face for their investors, and 2) help money laundering.

Classics are names that everyone heard, yet most have never seen!!
