iwoulda bought this as a real reality show about just plain weird people

IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK...

till the guy talks about joan changing her face and aliens and then the long scripted shot like a scene from casino where dude is looking for chief and she disappears on a spaceship i guess?people at the bar with a fox mask? what was i watching a parody of the shining? i believe the people are odd and just dont give a crap, and its shot like "the office" which makes it seem kinda real and fake at the same time, but id buy into it more if it werent for the intentionally weird staged bs . the show probably doiesnt need it cuz its allready so god damned weird anyways.

The staged stuff can be cringe-worthy (these are not actors, just people who have a show) and things can definitely get weird (Dennis thinks she's an Alien? gimme a break), but I like the show.
The scene was kind of cool, actually, I love tracking shots (I think that's the name, or long shots). I think all the characters really thrive off the weird, folksy, small town feel the show gives off, especially after the 1st season when it kind of cemented itself as such an eccentric show.
But I've seen weirder, and worse, on television. This isn't always the best show, but it can be interesting and funny and even heartfelt.

yeah its called a tracking shot, just means one continuous shot with no edits, but anyways yeah i think theres a difference between staging a show and playing up the weird factors about the characters.it does bring on the fake and staged comments, but yes there are more retarded set up staged bs moments in other shows, and playing up someones already weird pov does take staging and editing etc but if it is just an exaggeration of what theyre already like then its really not fake its just funny.
