What a boring movie
Just got back from the cinema. It's a boring movie guys don't waste your money on this one.
But I liked both the actresses though ;)

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed the film despite its flaws. I felt it built up the tension very well, only to slightly go over the top at the climax of the film. The only major disappointment for me was the exposition of Jane's identity, which I found rather rushed and ill thought out. I thought all the players performed well, especially Harris as the mad Professor. It could easily be dismissed as Hammer attempting to ape the Paranormal Activity franchise, but I think it is a lot more than that.

Pretty what a PG-13 horror is. BOOOOORRRIIIING. I haven't seen one PG-13 horror ever to like. Just tamed horror movies. Might as well just put pussy cats in the movie instead of tigers or lions. That is the way these Directors are doing horror now. Lame PG-13.

If it don't have it, it isn't worth the watch.
If you ask me, this film was obviously edited down to get a PG-13. There was several moments where it looked like something really gruesome happened only they cut away from said graphic moments just so it can skirt by with the dreaded PG-13 rating, horror wise.

Repeating yourself only makes you look silly. We get it; for you a film is only a "horror" movie if it has lots of bloody, gory special effects (as you say, you're a "gore watching freak") and loud noises that make you jump. I've seen many films like that - to me, that's boring! Some of us are looking for something different in a film marketed as "horror" - something more subtle that creates a spooky effect, where the fascination is all in the mood and atmosphere suggesting something weird and frightenening but unknown. The horror is in the anticipation, not in the "jump scare" one gets when the unknown is revealed.
The point is that we don't all have the same taste in movies. Just because you were bored by a movie doesn't mean it's a boring movie for other people.

You don't see in real life situations of people not swearing or not doing things like in rated R movies in real life. Pretty much stupid to make them PG-13. They say to bring more audience, but really it does not do anything to help them this way. Horrors are meant to be horrors and horror does not mean only to be scared, and these PG-13 movies are not even scary at all.

I agree, it is hard going, I won't bother buying or downloading this one. Been watching an online stream and I can't even get halfway through it. I liked Wakewood because it was creepy in parts and a bit like the Wicker man, the irish village setting was also creepy....this is just very hard going. Thanks for everyones feedback!
