Nice special effects. Characters a bit goofy.

I found the movie quite predictable which would have been alright if the characters weren't so silly.

***SPOILERS BELOW!***

I didn’t mind this movie at all to be honest.

I enjoyed the backstory even though as you say it was all very predictable and I also thought the special effects were pretty good too.

The Director/Chairman character was absolutely bonkers with his complete lack of impulse control but I found the Chief/Daughter and her absolute calm and tranquility to be utterly mesmerising to watch on the screen. Her face was a masterpiece of stillness and I was sad to see at the beginning of the end credits that the movie was dedicated to her because she had died in real life. I believe it was her last role and it is more than a little ironic given she played a character in this movie with a terminal illness.

There were probably underlying messages in the movie that I missed. The idea that there were different levels of preservation you could have post-death based on how much money you had was interesting.

And yes, very sad that she passed away in real life.

Watch more Korean movies.

There are PLENTY of characters acting at that level of silliness. I don't know why but it's quite common even in the more serious dramas ...

You have a good point that I was wondering about. Maybe it is an aspect of Korean cinema that I am just not familiar with yet and so it seemed out of place.
