Good Story And Not Much Wasting Of Time
Hey folks,
This story opens very quickly with a murder in a community with an Amish population and the cultural differences one would expect to find in such a community. An ex member of the Amish community has returned to be the police chief, and much of the story revolves around the problems she encounters doing her job as an ex member of the Amish community as well as being a woman.
Character development begins immediately as we are introduced to the various characters and how they are related to the story. The film does not waste time with long descriptive passages of the weather or other things not germane to the story. The dialogue is crisp and informative. Scenes are also richly shown entwining the different cultures.
This is a good story, and a good mystery.
Best wishes,
