Neve Campbell was very easy to get offended in this

15 minutes in, she has been several times.

- Coroner says "I wish these people would be more willing to call the police when someone goes missing" then she acts like he is some horrible racist or something

- Mayor wants to call in the county police to investigate the murder, she immediately insinuates its because she is a woman.

- County detective comes in, she is immediately offended by the guy calling her by her first name.

Have not finished the movie yet, but that is kind of weird.

Hey Tony,

Perhaps the reason the police chief was being offended so often was because there were so many offensive people being disrespectful to her? The mayor was the worst. If you will recall, she reminded him that she worked seven homicides in her career, and in each case the bad guy was convicted. That is a pretty good record for anyone, male or female, but the mayor immediately wants to call in someone else to handle the murder. Offensive? You bet it is.

really, you think Neve Campbell was offended? maybe the character she was portraying was written that way. She was doing a job.
