The Funko figurines are very well-made, and many of them do increase in value over time as they become harder to find. They may not be aesthetically pleasing to you personally, but they are by no means junk.

Like you, I would also like to have more of the figurines because I enjoy collecting things in relation to something I really enjoy. I've read all the comics, so it would be cool to start a little Orphan Black shelf!

Not at all, in fact I collect films and tv shows on DVD and Blu-ray (because I like to watch them) as well as new and vintage double edged safety razors (because I use them and think they are beautiful).
The reason I don't like the Orphan Black Funko Pop vinyl figures is because they have no artistic merit. They look like the sort of junk you would give an eight year old girl as one of her additional but lesser Christmas gifts. The idea being to make up the numbers and if it kept her attention for a week before she lost interest in it you would regard it as having served its purpose.

Pencil Eye Rachel appears to remain upright longer than the one on the show.
