Cancelled?!?! Get stuffed, Sky Atlantic!

Really a bummer but not unexpected, I guess, considering how long it took them to make an announcement about the show's fate one way or another...plus all the reports of its actors getting new jobs.

I don't know that the show had lots of seasons left in it, but there was definitely enough material to mine for at least one more.

That stinks, especially with the cliffhanger ending. If it was so "self-contained," the creators shouldn't have ended it that way. Maybe they should have stuffed a couple of wise-cracking detectives in it, that seems to be all that's popular over there anyway.

Damn it. They could have had a really good second season. Maybe if the show was made for American audiences it would have doe better.

I have just watched all 6 episodes in a row- I thought it was fantastic.

And before the " it's attracted to gay & transgendered" get they're oar in
I am straight- it was a great subject matter & well executed.

I they left the ending with me seriously wanting more, I then learn sky has cancelled it!!!
Yet another (NOT SO) wise decision from sky!

That's really disappointing. It's a uniquely compelling series and I loved the cast.

I didn't peg the Brits to be as trigger happy as the US TV networks when confronted with a debut series.

Is there really no chance they show will come back? Perhaps on a other channel?

This is why prefer the mini series. They are committed to a final and viewers are not totally disappointed by a blindsided cancellation.

On 4 September 2012, the web site TVWise published a rumor that Sky Atlantic had cancelled Hit & Miss. Sky Atlantic later contacted TVWise and stated that Hit & Miss was commissioned as a self-contained drama, implying that renewal was never an option
