'The Box Isn't worth Anything'

Yea right! When the Toy Hinter buys the Batmobile toy with the slightly distressed box, he tells the buyer that since the box is not perfect he won't pay extra for the box and the seller agrees.
Yea, I'm sure when he is trying to sell the Batmobile, he will undoubtedly tell the prospective buyer that: "It's In The Original Box"!

He's a douche, and a smug, pushy one at that. I hated him since the pilot, when he pressured the Thundercats guy into selling the Mad Bubbler prototype that he obviously didn't want to part with. Dude, that is like toy rape - no means no, a$$ hole.
The only good thing about the show is that the buzz in the toy collecting industry seems to be overwhelmingly negative towards it, and, given how unlikeable and pushy he comes across on the show, this will actually hurt Hollywood Heroes in the long run. Serves him right.
And that seller either knew dick about toys, or, like most of the things on this show, it was staged.

If this wasn't staged, and the seller actually went for it, he is either an idiot or weak willed and gave into the host's relentless bullying. That is perhaps his most unlikeable trait : that he refuses to take "no" as an answer, & always bullies the reluctant seller into getting his way.

It was a Batmobile from the Super Powers line. It was from about 1985 or so. It was in its original box but the box was a little bit banged up. It had some pretty visible wear and tear. But instead of just adjusting the price to allow for the box's condition, the host said he'd have to treat it like it was a loose toy. He disregarded the box entirely. That's total B.S. I guarantee you he won't be selling it as a loose toy. He didn't throw that box away. He'll sell it as toy with a beat up box and that's what someone will buy it as.

I also liked that one episode with the Transformers, where he "brokered" the deal with that Lucky Draw Rodimus, where he was going to take 20 % of it's earnings.
He takes it to that TF collector, who offers him $1,000, and Jordan says, "I can't do a thousand". Excuse me...? You "can't" do a thousand? You didn't pay any money whatsoever for the Rodimus, and will be collecting a cool 20% no matter what. But you "can't" do a thousand, because your greed commands more...? I really need to quit watching this show...

Are you fooking dense?

It is his JOB to get as much for the toy as possible. That is what a broker does FFS.

yeah, Business is business. Especially when haggling a deal..as a seller the first response to an offer should always be no.

I see from all your other posts on this board that you don't like him or the show, so why put so much energy and time on the show? Lighten up and let go of the negativity. I really don't think this show is good enough to last long. Personally I liked collection intervention but then again they had more choice in what happened to their items.

Maybe a lot of people only want to buy toys with the boxes in Mint Condition & would pay less money if they saw a box that was more then slightly banged up.Jordan should have said the sentence in a nicer way, instead of just:"The nbox is Crap!"
