Am I crazy? Am I the only one that thinks that Lou is Paul daughter? There are many obscure things between the characters. That Victor could be Gerard's son is one, the troubles in the family of Mathilde and Caroline is another but regarding Paul something came to me that there is a possibility that many years before he had a daughter and he doesn't knew it until Lou appeared and transform, until that moment, his "quiet" life.

You are not alone in that line of thought... I wonder if we are reading too much into this, but I thought the tape music played at the end of the film would give more clues about this, yet I am still in the dark.

Paternity isn't really the issue in this film. A simple blood test could have settled Victor's, if anyone had cared to do one. We are dealing with a man's inability to find his past, to be secure in his own skin.
