Evil Dead 2/Army of Darkness (spoilers)

Did anyone else notice that the way Sean went into that vortex was shot just like the ending of Evil Dead 2/beginning of Army of Darkness? Kind of a cool homage.

I hope that Grave Encounters 3 just follows him in and he has to fight a war against demonic forces. Anything but another movie about Alex watching the previous movie and jacking off in his dorm room.
