Have things gotten so bad for her, that she would take a part in a low budget flick shot in Vegas, and play a waitress with hardly a line??
I thought for sure when Nick is driving out of town with the loot at the end, that he was going to the dinner to pick her up. Him not doing so, makes her role absolutely useless in this flick.....unless I missed something.
What? This chick hasn't dome anything since Donnie Brasco nearly 20 years ago...doubt she has much of a choice.

Well according to the richest web site. Anne is worth 16 million dollars. She probably did this as a favor to Jason Statham. She doesn't need the money. Bet she took union minimum for the role. Plus when celebrities are well off they tend to do films for the craft not recognition or money.

That would be the most logical answer if this movie wasn't 'word for word' the remake of Heat with Burt Reynolds. The roles are the roles.
Perhaps she was in Vegas for some reason, ran into the crew, knew the director, and did him a favor. Still strange however, because that part was really even short of 'cameo'.
Why single out just Anne Heche? There are a bunch of notable actors in this thing.
Stanley Tucci, Hope Davis, Sofia Vergara's left boob, Sofia Vergara's right boob, George Costanza. All of them in it for maybe 5 minutes of screen time.
