I really enjoyed the movie, including the enigmatic glimpse at "Velvet"'s real feelings at the very end, but otherwise the twist made no sense. Which man would pay to have a one-hour fight with his pretend ex-girlfriend? For the next visit maybe she'll pretend to be her dentist and pull out his teeth.
shareOh, it was so much deeper than a one hour fight with an ex-lover. The layers of psychology of both the two characters and of ourselves watching this all happen in an intimate space like we were a fly on the way was too deep for me to grasp on the first go round. There will be will be a second viewing for those questions, without doubt.

Errr...have you checked out your local backpage.com or Craigslist recently? There are legions of these warped "Johns" forever searching for some new insane, kinky, fantasy and general role playing craziness.
Admittedly, this one was a bit over the top. But I will bet you a dollar, there is some freak out there searching for something similar or even more outlandish.
LOL, I guess some people have to work themselves into the mood? Maybe there is something to that saying that couples fight to make up, even pretend couples.
